Kick-Off River Cruise FAQs

Transportation

  • Buses will take registrants to the Spirit of Norfolk from the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Guests must be at the pick-up area of the Marriott cul-de-sac in front of the hotel at 12:30 pm to begin boarding starting at 12:45 pm. 
  • The cruise disembarks at 4:00 pm. Buses will depart for the hotel at 4:30 pm.

Parking

  • For those driving themselves, nearby parking is available at the Town Point Garage at 110 W Main St, Norfolk, VA 23510. Valet parking is also available at the Waterside District via VA Valet.

Registration

  • Check-in will begin at 12:30 pm and will close shortly before vessel departure at 2:00 pm.
  • Buses will be ready to return registrants to the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront following the Spirit of Norfolk’s return to port.

Dress Code

  • The dress code is business casual.

Parking

  • Parking is available across the street at the Marriott Oceanfront, and valet is available at the Historic Cavalier.

Registration

  • Registration begins at 5:30 pm in the entryway of the Historic Cavalier Pool Loggia.
  • If you attended the River Cruise, follow signage to have your badge scanned. If this is your first event, continue to the badge printing station.

Dinner

  • Food will be passed starting at 6:00 pm, and food stations will open at 7:00 pm.

Dress Code

  • The dress code is business formal.

State of the Port Luncheon FAQs

Parking

  • Free parking is available at the Marriott garage for non-overnight parkers. Take a parking voucher from registration and scan it as you leave the garage.

Breakfast

  • Breakfast is available for all attendees from 7:00 am – 9:00 am in the Goodman Room on the 2nd floor of the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront. 

Innovation Power Hour

  • Two sessions are available to learn how Deloitte, KemPower, and TICO are driving changes through infrastructure, innovation, and future-forward thinking.
  • Register for the 9:00 am – 10:00 am OR 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm session using this form, or at the door.
  • The event is free for all State of the Port registrants.

Registration

  • Registration begins at 10:30 am on the Marriott 2nd floor.
  • If you attended previous events, follow signage to have your badge scanned. If this is your first event, continue to the badge printing station.
  • FOOD ALLERGIES must be submitted before Monday, 5/5. Please remind registration of any food allergies to ensure you receive the proper meal.

Luncheon & Program

  • The event will begin promptly at 11:00 am. Please ensure an early arrival to provide time to find your seat.
  • If you have an assigned table, it will be printed on your badge and available on a seating chart beside the ballroom doors. 
  • Join us following the Luncheon for coffee and dessert in the foyer outside the ballroom.

  • The dress code is business formal attire.

Sea & Be Seen FAQs

Registration

  • Registration begins at 2:30 pm on the walkway outside of Tulu restaurant, on the 1st floor of the Marriott.
  • If you attended a previous event, have your badge scanned. If this is your first event, follow the prompts on the kiosks to print your badge.

  • The dress code is business casual attire.
