Four events, two days, one unforgettable experience. The State of the Port opens with the Kick-Off River Cruise, followed by the Taste of Virginia reception, showcasing the refined flavors and aromas of the Commonwealth. The State of the Port Luncheon features a speech by Stephen Edwards, the Port of Virginia’s CEO and Executive Director, as he shares his perspectives on the previous year and the opportunities that await in the coming year.

The Commerce Builder Award is presented during the luncheon to a deserving professional that has significantly influenced the growth of commerce and trade in Virginia. Since 1956, the Commerce Builder Award has been presented to recipients who have displayed extraordinary vision and outstanding leadership qualities.

Capping off the festivities is the Sea & Be Seen networking event, providing an opportunity to take in the salt air and connect with colleagues and friends.
